This was a draw between Age of Empire 2 and Spyro the Dragon, and I did let the wheel decide. So now it is Spyro this time. Next time might be Age of Empires.
Brand new remake from Spyro the Dragon, developed by Insomniac Games. Great adventure platformer game. In Spyro the Dragon, a dragon protagonist called Spyro travels across various worlds in order to rescue his fellow dragons and to defeate Gnasty Gnork.
I played Spyro the Dragon when I was little and I was amazed and instantly taken into its colorful locations and imaginative world, and of course it's music. I spent hours finding all the gems and seacrets, I even revisited many old places and one of the thing affected to that was the music made by Stewart Copeland. Every song is truly catchy. Spyro OST has quality songs, I'm here to remaster them.
One theme which I remember to this day is Haunted Towers theme. Haunted Towers It is considered the second hardest realm in the whole of the original Spyro the Dragon trilogy. It features magical armored Knights, wizards who revive them, and a large castle to use the Supercharge in. There's a tall fairy in an orange dress hidden in the castle and when she kisses you the super fire breath is infinite until you leave the realm.
I was very young and unexperienced player back then. This level was little bit hard for me, but yeah I was so young back then... I guess I enjoyed playing it. However, I thought it was not that haunting music when coming to think of it. That is why I tried to epxeriment with little "spookier" sounds.
I did my best to find new instruments to honor Stewart Copeland's great music work, but to also find new sides of it in form of this new remake. Whole remastered look can be heard and the tone of the song is changed. Rythms and grooves of this area stands out from the rest of the soundtrack. This is the best spyro music.
